EnPLAF is Better Than PRP For Aesthetics And Dermatology
The growth factors in EnPLAF bind to the cellular receptors of skin tissue at the site of injection, which results in the accelerated promotion of local tissue growth, repair and regeneration of damaged tissue. The results are long-lasting.
The successful use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in aesthetics is attributed to the bioactive proteins containing specific growth factors that promote tissue repair, angiogenesis (capillary formation), and collagen production. However, there are major drawbacks to using PRP for aesthetics. Among the negatives associated with PRP listed here (Drawbacks of PRP), PRP requires extrinsic activation to be effective. PRP has live cells and therefore tends to become a highly viscous jelly (not free-flowing) if left standing for long time before injection. Thus PRP can never be stored and has to be administered almost immediately after it is derived for any aesthetic application, which can be a huge inconvenience for both patient and doctor. Plus, PRP injections to the face are really quite painful.
There are many advantages of Enriched Platelet Factors (EnPLAF) products over PRP (Advantages of ENPLAF). Our EnPLAF products, in contrast to PRP, already contains activated concentrated bioactive factors; therefore it doesn't require extrinsic activation. EnPLAF can be stored for long periods of time without losing potency and thus can be administered when most convenient for the patient and doctor. Because EnPLAF does not contain any live cells, even if EnPLAF is left standing for very long it will not coagulate either before or after injection. Most importantly, EnPLAF injections are completely painless. Thus, EnPLAF allows for safer, wider applications in aesthetic medicine and dermatology. No pain. Everything to gain.
Considerations Before And After EnPLAF Therapy
Certain factors such as smoking and alcohol intake, which provoke free radical formation in the body, diminish effect of the therapy. Avoiding these will increase the success of the procedure. A complete list of general contraindications for EnPLAF therapy can be found here (Contraindications)
Minimal bruising and redness within the initial 12 to 24 hours post- EnPLAF therapy are normal. A bruise at the needle stick site may be visible for 2 to 3 days and it subsides on its own. Since EnPLAF is naturally derived from the patient's own blood, there is no risk of having an allergic reaction or any significant side effects from EnPLAF administration.
Therapy results may vary. However, most will last for up to 12-18 months. Biannual therapies (twice a year) will better maintain the results. For aesthetic indications, the complete skin care package can help the patient maintain the results year round.
